What Are Structural Lines and Center Lines

While you don't have to have DaVinci's skills in art, figure drawing, and perspective to be an animator, it helps to have a good understanding of structures and perspective - whether you're drawing people, animals, buildings, or objects. These skills will help you create smooth, flowing animations that maintain a clean balance of motion no matter the perspective or changes in position and posture. One key element of applying these skills in drawing for animation? Using center and structural lines in your base sketches.
